What is a ‘Preferred Center’ and is my center eligible?

Preferred Centers are the locations in the Alliance network where the client experience is at its best. Mail communicated the day it arrives. Registrations confirmed without delay. Meeting rooms clients can actually book. Preferred status is how Alliance formally recognizes that standard, and helps those centers stand out.

How Preferred Centers Benefit 

The Preferred badge exists to send more clients to the locations that have earned it. Preferred Centers receive: 

  • Priority placement at the top of their location listing page on alliancevirtualoffices.com, with a Preferred Center badge that signals quality to prospective clients. See an example here. 
  • Increased bookings through real-time availability on Alliance’s platform and app, backed by Alliance’s ongoing marketing investment in Preferred locations. 
  • Stronger client retention from proactive mail notifications. On average, clients at centers actively using Delivered stay 3 months longer. 
  • Improved operational efficiency from fewer mail-check calls and more organized booking management. 

What Preferred Centers Deliver 

Clients who book a Preferred Center can expect: 

  • A fully staffed, professional location open Monday through Friday during standard business hours. 
  • Prompt responses to any service request, within one business day. 
  • A location properly registered and compliant with all mail handling regulations, giving clients confidence their mail is in good hands. 
  • Mail forwarding options to suit their needs, with priority and courier services available on request. 
  • Real-time mail notifications through Delivered by Alliance. Every piece of mail triggers a notification as it arrives. On days when nothing comes in, clients receive a No Mail update. No wondering, no mail-check calls. Watch a short video to see how Delivered works. 
  • Meeting room availability managed through a live inventory system, so bookings are accurate and confirmed without back-and-forth. Preferred Centers are either instantly bookable now or are on a system that will support integration as Alliance expands.   • Same-day registration acceptance. Preferred Centers confirm new client registrations through Alliance’s compliance portal on the same business day, so clients can get started without delay. 
  • Up-to-date listings with high-quality photos and accurate details on building access, parking, and amenities, backed by a structured onboarding process so every new client knows what to expect from day one. 

You’re probably already doing most of this. The centers thriving in the Alliance ecosystem meet these standards consistently, which is why they stand out. To be eligible for Preferred status, centers should be active on Delivered by Alliance, use a supported inventory management system for meeting rooms (Manual bookings do not qualify), have activated Verified by Alliance, and be in good standing under the Alliance Partner Agreement. Eligibility also takes into account active client volume (a general benchmark of around 30 clients, though this varies by market), client retention rate, at least six months of active partnership with Alliance, and a willingness to work collaboratively on pricing and promotions to drive client volume. 

Maintaining Preferred Status 

Preferred status reflects the experience a client can expect on any given day, so it is reviewed every six months against the same criteria used to grant it. The review covers continued Delivered usage, active client volume, client retention, and overall compliance with the Alliance Partner Agreement. If a center falls short in any area, Alliance will reach out with a clear improvement plan and the support needed to get back on track, before any status decision is made.
